City of Perth announced as Major Sponsor of milestone 35th INCITE Awards

The City of Perth has been announced as a Major Sponsor of the 2026 INCITE Awards, backing Western Australia's premiere technology innovation awards as the program marks its milestone 35th year.

Representing the city, Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds will present the Technology and Business Solution of the Year Award at the gala evening.

The sponsorship reflects the City's commitment to supporting economic development and innovation in Perth, with the INCITE Awards bringing together the state's leading technology talent, researchers, start-ups and industry leaders for a black tie gala at The Westin Perth on 17 July 2026.

Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds said the City of Perth was proud to be the lead sponsor of the 35th INCITE Awards, celebrating the innovators, entrepreneurs and technology leaders helping to shape WA's future.

Now in its 35th year, the INCITE Awards are the longest-running technology awards program in Australia, recognising excellence across nine categories spanning artificial intelligence, research and development, digital government, sustainability, and more.

This year's program attracted more than 90 nominees, with 63 entries from organisations and individuals across the state securing finalists spots.

WAITTA Vice President and INCITE Awards Co-Chair Jess Etheridge welcomed the partnership.

"Having the City of Perth invest in the INCITE Awards is a strong signal of confidence in WA's technology sector. This is exactly the kind of backing that helps us celebrate local innovation on the national and international stage."

WAITTA Treasurer and INCITE Awards Co-Chair Cameron Zivkovic echoed the sentiments.

The 35th INCITE Awards gala takes place on Friday 17 July 2026 at The Westin Perth. Tickets are on sale now.
