ACHIEVER OF THE YEAR
The Achiever award is the INCITE Awards’ peak award and recognises an individual’s outstanding contribution to the ICT industry in WA.
Nominees may include a Western Australian educator who has shown excellence in ICT education and demonstrated exceptional outcomes for both
students and employers. Past winners have included IS managers, academics and persons who have built significant ICT organisations in WA.

This award recognises the growing range of sectors and markets in Western Australia and the positive impact of technology in the State. The
Dr Mal Bryce WA Tech Company is a leader in the industry, making an outstanding contribution to the diverse economy of Western Australia,
standing in its own right while changing and transforming industry.
CONNECTED STATE DIGITAL INCLUSION AWARD: AIRBORNE IT
WAITTA’s inaugural Digital Inclusion award, The Connected State, recognises organisations that have significantly contributed to expanding
digital access and use for all Western Australians, thus bridging the digital divide.
PEARCEY WA ENTREPRENUER OF THE YEAR
The Pearcey Western Australian Entrepreneur Award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Western
Australian ICT Industry. It is aimed at finding an outstanding entrepreneur who has “taken a risk”, “made a difference” and “is an
inspiration”

2023 WINNER : Human Gesture and Gait Analysis for Autism Detection
Imagine transforming the way autism is diagnosed and revolutionizing early intervention strategies instead of waiting up to 2-years just to
get the diagnosis. My AI solution analyses gait and gesture patterns, revealing unique autism traits. This innovative approach utilizes
skeleton videos for private and non-intrusive autism prediction and severity assessments.
2023 MERIT AWARD : Universal Localization and object detection in High Definition Maps for autonomous vehicles
We propose an innovative self-supervised learning LiDAR method for precise localization and object detection in challenging outdoor
environments, such as mining sites. Later, we extended our work to include other modalities, e.g., Camera and Radar. Additionally, we
introduce the Perth-WA localization dataset, which provides a large-scale Perth LiDAR map.
2023 WINNER : XIoT Health Tag for Livestock Health and Welfare Monitoring
"Xsights has developed the XIoT Health Tag for real-time health & welfare monitoring of livestock.
The patented XIoT Tag is an encapsulated three core silicon processor, which includes integrated sensing, security, processing, and a Bluetooth transmitter, that sits between an animals’ ear & standard ear tag to enable real-time & automated data collection."

2023 MERIT AWARD : Renaware
Renaware is the applied software that provide rapid assessment and detection of anomalies in renal cancer cells, providing for the early
assessment of cancer. Some forms of renal cancer are aggressive and this software provides health care professionals with decisive
idetification in advance of standard annoted cancer cell practices
VentiWatch
Respiratory failure is deadly but treatable with a bag-valve-mask (BVM). BVMs are common and save lives, but they have a flaw: no control
for ventilation rate and volume. This can harm patients or kill them. VentiWatch is our solution: a device that monitors ventilation and
guides rescuers to ventilate properly.
Honey in Depth
Honey-In Depth is a Token-based system of realising the value of threat modelling that includes a defence in depth layering approach to
identify and monitor threats using a novel method of alignment that both recognises and slows the development of threats. It is especially
effective on IoT devices.

2023 MERIT AWARD: Polar
Polar is a unique app designed for environmentally conscious individuals who want to make a positive impact on the environment. The app
features personalized carbon tracking, educational resources, and gamification, making it both engaging and effective. Users can easily
track and input their carbon output with suggestions to decrease it.
2023 WINNER : Immersive Violence and Aggression De-escalation Experience (IVADE) for frontline healthcare professionals
IVADE is a clinician-focused, easily accessible immersive virtual reality training program enabling healthcare professionals to practice
early aggression identification and de-escalation techniques. With a flexible, standardised delivery format and branching narrative
structure, users are confronted by a realistic simulation of a high-risk aggressive patient while situated in a low-risk environment.
